The bark of this tree forms a repeating
pattern as one looks closer and closer at it - a fractal, or fractional
dimension - a principle that seems universal in life, both biologically and
sociologically...
However many fractals may be
superimposed within a living creature, the fractals themselves seem incredibly
simple, when isolated. Repeating patterns are handy when building a system of
any kind - one need only make larger or smaller versions of the same template to
build a complex looking system, like an electrical grid or computer. Overlap and
integrate a mere handful of these systems and it becomes mindboggling, however
simple and understandable its' roots may be.
Life is far simpler than the
living tend to think.
This website
is dedicated to the proposal that the metaphorical relationships drawn
between any two disciplines are, in fact, universal, being
isomorphic mathematical derivations of the Unified Field Theory. Further, that this symmetric
aspect of
metaphor is extrapolatable both linearly and laterally, thus may be harnessed to mathematically
predict missing knowledge
and invention in all
other disciplines: an interdisciplinary Rosetta stone of
universal scope.
"The
metaphor reminds us that the universe is full of cousins." -
