These power lines flow along the landscape
like a river of silken threads...
Like part of a giant
spiders web, the power will relay itself away from a central station. The mere
flick of a lightswitch can be seen as noise on the electrical grid.
Noise, which, to both the spider and the electrical supplier, represents a
"food" signal. That one involves reception of energy in the form of a
vibration as a signal, and the other involves the reception of energy in the
form of a spike of electricity as a signal, suggests our
utility companies truly are the evil bloodsuckers we'd always imagined!!
This website
is dedicated to the proposal that the metaphorical relationships drawn
between any two disciplines are, in fact, universal, being
isomorphic mathematical derivations of the Unified Field Theory. Further, that this symmetric
aspect of
metaphor is extrapolatable both linearly and laterally, thus may be harnessed to mathematically
predict missing knowledge
and invention in all
other disciplines: an interdisciplinary Rosetta stone of
universal scope.
"The
metaphor reminds us that the universe is full of cousins." -
