Well, I guess it is evident that this photo was taken of a storm sewer in the northern hemisphere. We know this from the direction of the whirly-poo...
Stop the world, I'm getting dizzy. The spin of the Earth fights with gravity at all times, as you can see by the slope of the twist, gravity aint' winnin' over liquid water by much. Jeesh, if these were clouds... The battle between gravity, through the Earths' mass; and energy, through the Earths' spin, wage on through time. Gravity and energy are always duking it out in the universe, it seems. Sure, you drop a ball and it gets faster, but what's it gonna' cost you to put it back where you found it?! Is the spin of the Earth waging a smear campaign on gravity? The photo seems to demonstrate this. If gravity can, indeed, be smeared, then we have something that requires our immediate attention: Gravity can bend. Since we know that waves of light can bend, can we suggest that gravity has a characteristic of a wave? Remember that zig-zagging, time-wasting light thing? Well now I need you to picture a photon - an itty-bitty particle of light. I'll make it easier... pick up some object. Move it from left to right slowly. Now, taking the exact same length of time, move it the same distance, but pretend it has to ride a wave, going up and down along the way. If you want it to go from left to right in the same time, you actually need to move your hand faster, because your zig-zag is making the trip longer. Keep doing this, making a wavier and wavier path until you're ... OH, NUTS!! I knew I shouldn't have tried this with my coffee... What a mess...I'll be back in just one second. Sorry. There. By now, the path the object in your hand takes is a very fast, very dense zig-zag - a high energy wave. Your object is matter, yes? Matter has mass, thus gravity, yes? Gravity takes time doesn't it? I mean, if it didn't, things wouldn't gradually accelerate to the Earth, they'd just "pop" straight down at some given speed, wouldn't they? So now we'll really slow down that object in your hand, so you have time to see that forward moving zig-zag in slow motion. Magnify everything so that all you get is exactly one zig and one zag, which should be larger than your object in size. Up and over, then down and over. Now, slowly zig-zag your object - but at the same time, put your free hand beside the object, which will be the gravity from your object, and very, very slowly start moving it straight across - the object taking a roller-coaster ride and your hand taking the short-cut. Gravity always seems to move at the same rate for the same mass, but you can adjust the slope of your zig-zags to any degree since it simply represents different wavelengths of light. After a few tries, the hand meets up with the object - the gravity catches up to its' own mass !! Naturally, the object, attracted to the gravity, starts to bend that way, as light doesn't mind bending a bit, now and then. But that object has been many places in its' path thus far, each of which have a small amount of gravitational pull. You probably need many more hands to really do this, so just try to imagine all of these lines starting from where the object was and heading to where it is. Ultimately, your object becomes trapped in a ring of its' past positions, each of which has equal pull. Your object is smearing its' gravitational pull around and around in a circular motion, no longer behaving like a a photon of light riding a wave, as it is no longer moving forward. Its' gravity, heavily compounded in the central hub of the circle, and repeatedly smeared outside the path of the object, is effectively the same as a much heavier object: Your energy has become mass. You have just reversed the process of the sun, and perhaps answered the old question: Is light a wave or a particle? Your answer, it seems, is that it is both. It appears to be a wave when moving and a particle when "tampered with". There are some particles that appear to "pop" into existence from theoretically high speeds. Maybe these were actually extremely high energy waves that became matter... Remember, this is only a theory, and I'm not a real doctor...! WATER TOUR LAST 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 NEXT
